No. This demo does not custody assets or connect to a real wallet. In self-custody, critical credentials remain the user’s responsibility.

Not always. Network access is needed for public blockchain data, while backups and sensitive credential storage should not depend on being online.

Keep it offline in a controlled location. Avoid screenshots, cloud drives, messaging apps, email and web forms.

A recovery phrase can restore a set of keys, while a private key provides signing authority for a specific account. Both are highly sensitive.

Verify the new device and software source first, recover in a trusted environment, then review networks and assets after restoration.

Confirm the network that carries the token, then verify the receiving address format and the asset used for transaction fees.

Review the network, address, amount, fees and signing details. For high-value transfers, a small test transfer can reduce mistakes.

Check the domain, download source, approval target and signing request. Any webpage asking for a recovery phrase or private key is a major red flag.
